Alkali Scientific SilverSeal™ Aluminum Sealing Film
A 36 µm soft non-permeable aluminum foil sealing film with 28 µm layer of strong medical-grade acrylic adhesive, SilverSeal™ sealing films eliminate the need for heat-sealing devices or mats during thermal cycling. Each sealing film measures 82.6 x 146.1 mm and offers sufficient sealing area for all PCR plates. Length between the perforations with end tabs removed is 125.4 mm. Compared to other aluminum foils, SilverSeal™ has less tendency to roll back or itself when removing the backing paper and conforms well to the plate during application. easily pierceable with single or multichannel pipettors and robotic probes heat and cold resistant, recommended for temperatures from -80 °C to +120 °C certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free excellent barrier properties, virtually no sample evaporation or drying. SF3ML is ideal for use with 96-well raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates.

Universal fit for all plate types (e.g. flat-top, raised-rim and non-skirted); the smaller dimensions and rounded corners result in no plate overhang for robotics applications. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Pierceable with a pipet tip or robotic probe for direct sample recovery. 2.0mil aluminum foil removes easily without shredding or tearing. The conformable nature of foil allows for the visual verification of the seal’s security around each well. Not recommended for long-term storage.

SilverSeal CS™ 50 µm Acrylic Adhesive Sealing Film are not recommended for PCR or thermocycling. A single non-perforated end tab simplifies application. Simply hold the tab and strip the backing from the body of the sealing film as it lays on the plate to avoid curling. Dimensions are 82.6 by 132.6 mm, including the single 9.5 mm end tab. SilverSeal CS™ sealing films are certified DNase-, RNase-, and nucleic-acid-free. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Specially formulated for cold storage to -80°C. SealSafe ColorTab™ is an inscribed color-coded end-tab that can be removed and pasted into a laboratory notebook while the other remains on the plate for identification. The film sheet can be removed from the plate without disturbing the identification label due to the finely perforated end-tabs. Provides a secure seal and is easy to remove. Rigid polyester film features good clarity and easy handling. Features two end-tabs with perforations.

Xtreme™ Seal features an extra-strong thick adhesive to minimize evaporation, yet removes easily without leaving residue on the plate. Features chamfered corners to eliminate plate overhang for robotics applications and tight storage conditions. Certified DNase- & RNase- free. Ideal for use with raised-rim and non-skirted PCR plates. Selection of the proper film size will minimize evaporation. The film should not overhang or ride up the wall of a raised-rim plate. More complete coverage of skirted flat-top plates will reduce evaporation in the outer wells. End-tab removal before thermal cycling is highly recommended.
